Can you guess where I am?
I'm in America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The visa's were delivered 10.00am Tuesday morning so the flights were booked for Wednesday.
I think Tuesday was the hardest day I have ever had. I had to say goodbye to my family and friends. There were lots of tears, it was very emotional. I couldn't say goodbye to any of them, we found ourselves saying see you later, like I was just going on a short trip.
Bratfink found it so hard to deal with, thats when I felt really bad. To see my baby crying so hard he couldn't talk, I felt like the worst mother ever.
I got everything I could packed and loaded into my Dad's car ready for the journey to the airport on Wednesday morning. My good friend F met us there and Bratfink's Sperm Donor turned up.
It wasn't as bad as I thought. It was hard to walk away, but also very exciting.
Bratfink had a little cry when we first took off but then excitment kicked in, even though he will never admit it. He was really good the whole flight, although as we were landing he kept saying very loudly....we're going to crash now!!!
We landed at 3.15pm and were out of the airport by 3.55pm. I couldn't believe how quick it was.
Then I got to see my Boytoy after 5 months. That was great.
We came home, met the cute pets, dumped all the suitcases and were off again. I was really tired but Bratfink was on a high. We took him to get a new bike then on to meet Brian's family.
He made himself right at home with the 2 nephews. He got lovely gifts from all the family, things that he had asked for at Christmas but didn't get. At about 9.00pm I was ready to sleep so we came home. Bratfink fell asleep on the way home ans is at the moment still asleep.
I'm now wide awake at 5.30am even though I have only had 8 hours sleep in the last 2 days. I will be a moody cow later!!!
So thats it, we are here, we are safe and we (well me anyway) are happy.
Fun with milk and food coloring

Happy second anniversary of being in the US! I don't know if I'd ever be brave enough to move to another country. And now you're living happily ever after, right? YAY! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI so know that feeling of having TWO homes! Even after 40 years the USA will still be home to me in many ways.
ReplyDeleteHappy "new home" anniversary!
Happy Anniversary! I remember that entry. It's both a blessing and a curse at times to call two places home isn't it?
ReplyDelete*hugs*
I'm glad you are happy here, and also that you're able to get back "home" now and then.
